RECENT EXPERIENCE
- Advising a client on the sale of their business while planning a relocation to Ireland. We provided strategic guidance to ensure a smooth transition and support for the client at each step of the process. Working closely with Irish advisers, we structured the transaction to minimise exposure to both UK and Irish capital gains tax. By aligning the sale and relocation timeline with the client’s personal plans, we helped them reduce their tax liabilities and create space to enjoy extended travel after the sale.
- Assisting a client in reviewing their personal and business assets to develop a strategic plan for reducing UK inheritance tax exposure. By focusing on lifetime planning opportunities, we helped them structure the transfer of wealth to their family in a tax-efficient way, helping to preserve value across generations.
- Advising law firms on their divorcing spouse clients on the tax treatment of marital assets, including planning around the timing of disposals and international reporting.
