BACKGROUND
Kayleigh heads up the Family and Wealth team at K3 Tax Advisory and she is an Associate Director within the firm. She joined K3TA in October 2021, following seven years in a regional South-West firm where she specialised in private client advisory work. Kayleigh began her career in 2012, training with a Big 4 firm. Kayleigh is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), an Associate of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), and she also holds the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT).
Kayleigh’s work focuses on private client tax matters, with a particular emphasis on advising high net worth individuals and families. She has experience in issues involving offshore trusts, inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax, and the complex tax implications of divorce.
While her clients come from a wide range of backgrounds, Kayleigh does her best work helping people make sense of intricate tax issues, especially in emotionally or financially pressured situations. She is known for her clear, approachable style and for helping clients “see the wood for the trees”. In addition to client work, Kayleigh speaks on tax developments and legislative changes, delivering sessions for fellow tax professionals, accountants, and solicitors.
Kayleigh lives in Plymouth and is actively involved in the local live music scene.

RECENT EXPERIENCE
- Advising law firms on their divorcing spouse clients on the tax treatment of trust interests and overseas assets worth over £10 million, including planning around the timing of disposals and international reporting.
- Assisting a non-UK domiciled client with restructuring their offshore trust to mitigate UK inheritance tax exposure, while remaining compliant with the former remittance basis of taxation.
- Advising a client on the sale of their business while planning a relocation to Ireland. The transaction required careful coordination to avoid exposure to both UK and Irish capital gains tax. By working closely with Irish advisers, we helped structure the deal and timeline the move to align with the family’s plans, enabling the client to minimise tax liabilities and take time out to travel post-sale.
- Supporting a UK-resident HNW individual with lifetime IHT planning involving gifts, business relief, and trust creation with assets held across multiple jurisdictions.
- Delivering training sessions on the reforms to divorce taxes for legal and tax professionals.
